Tyreek Hill to Chiefs? Agent Reveals Where Things Stand With All-Pro WR

Tyreek Hill’s return to the NFL remains one of the biggest talking points this season. The veteran wide receiver is still recovering from a serious knee injury and weighing his options as a free agent.

Hill, 32, has been working toward a return after dislocating his left knee and tearing multiple ligaments while playing for the Miami Dolphins in Sept. 2025. Miami released him in February, and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has indicated that Hill could be ready to play in November.

The Latest on the Tyreek Hill-Chiefs Rumors

Rosenhaus provided the latest on Hill’s situation on Wednesday, confirming that Hill remains in contact with multiple teams, but a deal is not close to being finalized (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter).

“Nothing is imminent at this time,” Rosenhaus said. “He’s continuing his rehab with the goal of being on a team in the immediate future.”

The Kansas City Chiefs have emerged as a potential destination because of injuries that have weakened their receiving corps. Kansas City has reportedly been in contact with Rosenhaus about a possible reunion. The Chiefs were also interested in bringing Hill back before his latest injury.

The rumors have only grown since Kansas City lost Tyquan Thornton to a dislocated ankle in its Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He was placed on injured reserve and is expected to miss three to four months. Rashee Rice also suffered a hamstring injury in that game, leaving uncertainty around his immediate availability.

The Chiefs signed receiver Justin Watson to their practice squad this week to fill the WR void, and it remains to be seen if a deal with Hill would eventually materialize.

Hill spent six seasons with Kansas City from 2016 to 2021, recording 479 receptions for 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns. He earned six Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro honors before being traded to the Dolphins in 2022. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce have publicly welcomed the possibility of a reunion, but no deal has been announced.

Tyreek Hill’s Court Case Could Complicate Reunion With Chiefs

Hill’s potential return also faces uncertainty following the conclusion of a civil trial involving his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro. On Tuesday, a Miami jury found Hill liable for two counts of battery tied to incidents in Jan. 2024 and April 2025. The jury awarded Vaccaro $500,000 in compensatory damages but found Hill not liable on eight other claims and did not award punitive damages. Hill denied most of the allegations during the trial.

The NFL has said it is monitoring developments under its personal conduct policy. The league’s review is separate from the civil case, and the verdict’s impact on Hill’s playing future remains unclear.

Kansas City remains a reported possibility, but his health, the ongoing league review and the terms of any potential contract could all affect his next move.
