Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers are close friends off the court. They often show their support for each other on social media and have even collaborated outside the basketball court.

Bueckers has also said in the past that they are “great friends off the court,” adding that she loves Reese as a competitor. The Wings scorer even said they are both “crap talkers,” which she likes as well.

Despite their close relationship, though, it doesn’t mean they’ll hold back against each other when talking trash on the court. At the end of the day, they are rivals playing for different teams.

That was evident when Reese and Bueckers got into it in the first quarter of the showdown between the Dream and Wings at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

As Reese tried to post up Bueckers with around six minutes remaining, the Wings All-Star didn’t budge and forced the Dream star to pass the ball.

While Bueckers was called for a foul on the play, she was clearly hyped up by her defense against Reese and clapped enthusiastically. Reese was then seen saying something to Bueckers, who appeared to respond while walking away.

Unfortunately for Bueckers, Reese and the Dream got the last laugh in the game. Atlanta edged out Dallas by one point, 82-81.

Reese finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block in the win. She outperformed Bueckers, who tallied 16 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block.
