Coroners records show that Eric David Arras, 54, was found dead inside a home in the 8900 block of Fredric Avenue early Thursday after a police shootout with his suspected killer. The suspect has been identified as Angela Feliciana Titman, 36, according to Sacramento Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Ed Igoe.

Around 12:45 a.m. police were called to the residence by a neighbor who said that Arras’ adult son told him his father had been shot by his girlfriend. Deputies arrived on the scene and made contact with the son, also learning that several other individuals were potentially inside the residence.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the home and tried to persuade Titman, who was armed, to surrender the weapon. At some point during the standoff, she left a firearm on the home’s front porch but refused to surrender and went back inside, Igoe said.

During the standoff, deputies contacted residents of an accessory dwelling unit in the backyard and evacuated three adults and three children unhurt. Neighbors were also told to leave their homes.

Deputies deployed a chemical agent to force Titman to leave the home. They also deployed a drone, which located the suspect with at least one additional firearm.

Deputies entered the home after the three-hour standoff and took Titman into custody without incident, Igoe said. She was arrested on charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Titman is currently being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail and is ineligible for bail. Her next scheduled court date is Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
