Better Buzz Coffee Roasters is in the process of hiring a general manager for a coffee shop in Folsom, according to the chain’s LinkedIn page. The coffee franchise, with almost 50 stores in Southern California, indicates it plans to open a location at 1016 E. Bidwell St.
Each Better Buzz location offers slightly different menus, according to its website, so an official assortment of beverages and food has yet to be determined for the Folsom location. However, some of the items that are common at each Better Buzz include a honey latte, a mocha latte, cold brew, chai and its signature beverage known as “The Best Drink Ever,” which is an Americano or latte made with water, espresso and vanilla. Each location has avocado toast, açai bowls and breakfast sandwiches.
The opening of the Folsom Better Buzz Coffee is still in the works. The city has approved the company’s tenant design review plans, according to The Sacramento Business Journal. Better Buzz Coffee did not respond to a request for comment from The Sacramento Bee.

The franchise is known for its signature vanilla-flavored coffees and describes them as a “creamy & sweet.” Better Buzz also uses organic coffee beans approved by the California Certified Organic Farmers.
The new location will replace Folsom’s Carl’s Jr. that had been in place almost 30 years after opening in 1997.
Better Buzz Coffee launched its first store in San Diego in 2002. Since then, 59 drive-thru and walk-in locations have opened, scattered across California, Arizona and Nevada.
