Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever returned to winning ways on Tuesday. They defeated the Minnesota Lynx 96-77 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse two days after their three-game winning streak was snapped.

The visiting team played without rookie phenom Olivia Miles due to a calf injury. Clark delivered a blunt statement about the Rookie of the Year frontrunner after the game.
Clark led the way for the Fever, finishing with 27 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and four steals. The three-time All-Star also knocked down three triples in 33 minutes of action.
During her postgame interview, Clark discussed what the team did well to secure the win. She pointed out her team’s “sloppy” play in the third quarter, where the Lynx outscored them 30-14. The Fever superstar also had something to say about Miles ahead of their next matchup.
“I hope Liv plays and I think it’ll be a fun one,” Clark said.

The two teams will once again clash on Thursday, with Clark and the Fever visiting Target Center. Miles’ injury doesn’t appear serious, as she was a late scratch after participating in Tuesday’s pregame shootaround.
The star guards faced each other on Aug. 2, with Minnesota securing a 108-100 win. Clark finished with 19 points and 10 assists, while Miles recorded 28 points, four rebounds and six assists.
Thursday’s matchup is the last regular-season game for both teams. The Fever are 28-15 and fifth in the standings. They are currently still hoping to secure the No. 4 seed for home-court advantage in the first round of the WNBA playoffs. Meanwhile, the Lynx clinched the No. 1 seed after the second-placed Golden State Valkyries lost on Tuesday night.
