Davis police are investigating the death of a man found bleeding from the head on Russell Boulevard on Sunday morning, authorities said.

The Yolo County Coroner’s Office identified the man Monday as Houman Tehranchi, 60.
Officers responded to emergency calls shortly before 7:50 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Russell Boulevard, where they found Tehranchi bleeding from the head as bystanders performed CPR, said Davis police Lt. John Evans, a department spokesperson.

Davis firefighters and American Medical Response paramedics treated Tehranchi, but he died, Evans said.
Davis police and the Yolo County Coroner’s Office were investigating his death, but officers found no evidence of foul play, Evans said.
