A 44-year-old man wanted in Michigan on a felony warrant alleging multiple child sexual abuse offenses was arrested in a South Lake Tahoe neighborhood Wednesday.

Kyle Jurek, 44, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. near Sierra Boulevard and Rose Avenue, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department said in a statement Thursday.
South Lake Tahoe police, the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations later searched Jurek’s residence after obtaining a search warrant in connection with 2024 allegations of online child enticement and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The arrest and investigation were part of a joint operation involving the agencies. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the search by deploying its electronic storage detection K-9, trained to locate electronic devices, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remained ongoing, and investigators were seeking information from potential victims and witnesses. Anyone with information was asked to call South Lake Tahoe police at 530-542-6100.
