A Nevada County sheriff’s detective arrested a suspected drug dealer and seized more than a pound of cocaine in a Grass Valley drug bust, sheriff’s officials said.

The detective also recovered 57 grams of suspected methamphetamine during the arrest Wednesday afternoon at a Grass Valley car wash, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
Sheriff’s officials said the 40-year-old woman had previously been arrested by the detective on suspicion of drug offenses when the detective was a patrol deputy. The detective knew she was on court-ordered pretrial supervision and subject to search, sheriff’s officials said.
The detective found 1.1 pounds of cocaine, suspected methamphetamine and pills identified as the antidepressant trazodone, along with drug paraphernalia and other suspected drugs, during searches of her vehicle and a nearby motorhome.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance with the intent to sell and unauthorized possession of certain controlled substances.
She was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in Nevada City and held on $100,000 bail, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said.
