Indiana Fever rookie Raven Johnson has had an up-and-down 2026 season. She started the campaign playing significant minutes, averaging 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 14.7 minutes in her first 22 games.
However, over her last 13 appearances for the Fever, her numbers have dropped to 1.0 point, 0.2 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 2.9 minutes per outing.
Fortunately for Johnson, the WNBA season paused to give way to the FIBA World Cup. The break gave the Fever guard the chance to step away from the team, rest her body and mind and work on her game independently.
On Tuesday, Johnson returned to Indiana and rejoined the Fever as they got back to work in preparation for the return of the WNBA season and the upcoming playoffs. While speaking to reporters, the 23-year-old talked about her break.
“It was very amazing,” Johnson said, per Tony East of The IX Sports. “I went to Seattle, I worked out and I’ve seen some good people.”
Johnson went on to discuss the Fever and what she has seen from her teammates since their return.

“We’ve been back guys. We have been in the gym for three days, and we’ve been working and everybody looks locked in and ready to make a good playoff run,” Johnson stated.

The Fever are currently without Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and head coach Stephanie White, who are all in Berlin, Germany, to represent Team USA in the FIBA World Cup.
While the rest of the Fever wait for their return, it’s clear from Johnson’s message that there’s plenty of optimism surrounding the team.
