Aug. 11 (UPI) — The Kansas City Chiefs agreed to a one-year contract with defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah, a source familiar with the agreement told UPI on Tuesday.

Ogbah, 32, spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 10-year veteran totaled 48 sacks over the first 136 appearances of his NFL career.
The second-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2016 NFL Draft initially joined the Chiefs in a 2019 trade. He went on to log 29.5 sacks over five seasons with the Miami Dolphins from 2020 to 2024.
He recorded a career-high nine sacks during each of his 2020 and 2021 campaigns with the Dolphins. Ogbah totaled 15 combined tackles, four quarterback hits, two tackles for a loss, a pass defensed, fumble recovery and half-sack over 13 appearances last season. He made three starts for the Jaguars.

The Chiefs released their first unofficial depth chart for the 2026 season on Monday, with George Karlaftis and Ashton Gillotte listed as their starting defensive ends. Felix Anudike-Uzomah, R Mason Thomas, V.J. Anthony, Tyreke Smith, Ethan Hurkett and Anthony Dunn are among their other defensive ends.
Kansas City will host the Los Angeles Rams in their preseason opener at 4 p.m. EDT Saturday in Kansas City, Mo. They will host the Denver Broncos in their regular-season opener Sept. 14 at Arrowhead Stadium.
