Coroner’s officials have been unable to identify the man since his body was found in 2012 in the rural southern Sacramento County community. But forensic genetic genealogy has provided investigators with new information they hope could finally lead to his identity.
Coroner’s officials have issued a new image, created by combining a forensic sketch and post-mortem photographs using artificial intelligence. Officials said they believe it is the most accurate rendering of him to date.

“We are especially asking members of the Guatemalan community, both locally and beyond Sacramento County, to review and share the updated image,” the coroner’s office said in its appeal. “Someone may recognize him as a relative, friend, former coworker, neighbor, or community member who disappeared or lost contact with family.”
Anyone with information that could help identify the man was asked to contact the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office at 916-874-9320 or [email protected].
