Shortly after 11 a.m., deputies tried to pull over the SUV near Industrial and Athens avenues near Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln. The driver failed to stop, and the vehicle pursuit ensued down Industrial Avenue, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The vehicle chase ended near Galilee Road, about five miles south of where the chase began. There, the SUV went across a parking lot and over several medians before the driver jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies chased the suspect, later identified as a 35-year-old Lodi man, and took him into custody. Sheriff’s officials said he was booked at the South Placer County Jail on several criminal charges, including evading a police officer. He also was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and burglary tools.

The arrested Lodi man also had felony warrants for his arrest from Bay Area law enforcement agencies on charges of kidnapping and domestic violence, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter helped deputies in the pursuit, along with the Roseville Police Department.
