More than 27,000 packages of organic white rice were recalled due to “potential contamination with foreign materials,” the FDA said in an enforcement report.
The recalled rice was produced in Butte County and distributed in 13 states.

Lundberg Family Farms in Richvale initially issued a voluntary recall on April 3, the FDA said in its enforcement report.
The recall impacts affects a total of 27,324 packages of Lundberg Family Farms rice labeled as “best before” Feb. 1, 2027, and Feb. 2, 2027.

The Universal Product Code on the recalled packages of rice is 073416-040281, the FDA said, while the affected lot codes are 260201 and 260202.

According to the updated recall, the 2-pound bags of white jasmine rice were sold in the following states:

- Connecticut
- Florida
- Illinois
- North Carolina
- New Hampshire
- New York
- Pennsylvania
