The Houston Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 34–31 on Sunday, October 18, at Wembley Stadium in London. Ka’imi Fairbairn’s 49-yard field goal as time expired sealed Houston’s second straight win after an 0–4 start. The victory moved the Texans to 2–4 and kept them within reach of the AFC South-leading Jaguars, who fell to 4–2.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud and the receivers delivered. Stroud completed 24 of 34 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns. Foster Moreau caught two touchdown passes, while Jaylin Noel produced the biggest receiving performance of his young career. Nico Collins added three catches for 74 yards, and new arrival Marvin Harrison Jr. made an encouraging debut with three catches for 34 yards. Houston’s passing game found contributions across the lineup.
Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 306 yards and four touchdowns, keeping the game close despite Houston building a 10-point lead. The Texans ultimately escaped with the win, but allowing 31 points showed that their defense must tighten up if this two-game winning streak is going to become a serious playoff push.
Jaylin Noel Sets a Career High as Texans’ Passing Attack Finds Another Playmaker
The second-year receiver caught all four of his targets for a career-high 107 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville. His 50-yard reception helped stretch the field and gave Houston a big-play threat beyond its established starters. Noel had previously recorded 85 receiving yards against Dallas in Week 4, but this performance raised the bar. He also scored for the second straight week, strengthening his case for a larger role in the offense.

Foster Moreau helped Houston take control early. The tight end caught both of his targets for touchdowns, scoring from six yards in the first quarter and one yard just before halftime. His two scores helped Houston carry a 17–14 lead into the break.
Neither Collins nor Harrison needed a huge statistical line to make an impact. Collins continued to provide the deep threat, while Harrison began building chemistry with his former Ohio State teammate. Their presence should make it harder for defenses to focus solely on Noel or the tight ends.
Woody Marks carried 15 times for 56 yards, while Jawhar Jordan added a 25-yard rushing touchdown in his season debut. Those contributions helped Houston complement Stroud’s passing attack, although the ground game still has room to improve. If Noel continues producing explosive plays, he could become a more consistent part of the weekly game plan. The win also gives Houston’s offense a confidence boost heading into its next game against the New York Giants.
