FOX capped its month-plus coverage of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup on Sunday, broadcasting the final match of the tournament between Spain and Argentina.

Spain topped Argentina, 1-0, in the men’s final on Sunday. More than 80,000 fans attended the final match at Metlife Stadium, including President Trump, Matt Damon, Tom Cruise and many, many others.
FOX’s Jenny Taft, who served as the top sideline reporter for the tournament, did a brief interview with President Trump prior to kickoff on Sunday. Longtime college sports announcer Tim Brando shared the interview and praised FOX for its tremendous coverage of the 2026 tournament.
“Tremendously successful @FIFAWorldCup and I’m proud of the job done by all my colleagues including @JennyTaft who was everywhere and her trilingual capabilities served @FOXSoccer coverage so well. Bravo to all involved ⚽️🎙️🎧👏👏,” he wrote.
Soccer fans agreed.

Fans praise FOX for coverage of 2026 World Cup
“Congrats to @FOXSports soccer team on a phenomenal, virtually flawless, month+ of coverage. Truly outstanding job from youngest PA to head of Fox Sports, Eric Shanks. And props to @AndrewHGiuliani and team too. Kept everyone at games safe too,” Clay Travis wrote.
“FOX Sports’ coverage was great this World Cup. Amazing closing montage too,” one fan added.
“I watched World Cup coverage from several countries all throughout & the Fox studio team was by far the best. Actual personalities who could make us laugh as well be controversial + real insights. The British play-by-play team was the best but the Fox studio show was an A+,” one fan added.

The 2030 World Cup, meanwhile, does not yet have a permanent broadcasting home. FOX, NBC and even Netflix are expected to make bids.
