Small refrigerators popular with college students and cubicle workers should cool what’s inside, not burn its surroundings. That’s why Cooluli recalled 250,000 10-liter and 15-liter minifridges.

The problem, as described in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice, is “The recalled minifridges’ electrical switches can short circuit, posing fire and burn hazards.”
And, Cooluli knows of at least 19 occasions of “the minifridges smoking, sparking, burning, melting, overheating or catching fire, resulting in property damages totaling more than $80,000. One consumer reported a smoke inhalation injury.”
These minifridges came in multicolored patterns, green, pink, black, blue, white and red and were sold on Amazon.com as well as the Cooluli website. Check for batch numbers 1535 through 1545 or 1200000 through 1202080 on a label inside the door.
