ESPN’s “College GameDay” announced on Saturday night that it will be heading to Provo for the Week 7 game between Notre Dame and BYU.
It’s the first time that “College GameDay” is heading to BYU in more than 15 years.
“Cougar fans, it’s been awhile 💭 We’re headed to Provo for the first time since 2009 for Notre Dame-BYU‼️” the show announced.
BYU vs. Notre Dame is a good, Top 10 matchup.
However, there’s another huge game next weekend. Indiana is hosting Ohio State in Bloomington. The Top 10 matchup is a meeting of the sport’s past two national champions.
Of course, that game will air on FOX, and “Big Noon Kickoff” will be there, too.
Is ESPN purposely avoiding a Big Ten game next week because of it?
Big Ten fans not happy with Ohio State vs. Indiana snub
College football fans are calling out the snubbing.
“Two of the last three national champs are meeting next week, but … instead picks the matchup for all the Pop-Tarts,” one fan wrote.

“GameDay passed on Indiana vs. Ohio State, the last two national champs in a top-10 matchup. Interesting choice,” one shared.
“2026 National Champion Indiana hosts 2025 National Champion Ohio State, but Nick Saban is too afraid of Cig to go to Bloomington,” one fan joked.
“Alright bro. SMH. Big Ten Championship rematch in Bloomington. 2024 National Champion #5 Ohio State vs 2025 National Champion #7 Indiana. Cignetti vs Ryan Day 🍿🍿,” one fan added.
“Serious snubbing of the Big Ten here,” one fan added.
Ultimately, ESPN’s “College GameDay” is still heading to a fun game – and a big-time location – but it’s certainly interesting that they are passing on Indiana vs. Ohio State.
