Ryan George, a standout wrestler at Santa Rosa Junior College, has passed away at the young age of 19.

According to multiple reports, George died Sunday while hiking in Yosemite National Park. The Montgomery High School graduate reportedly slipped and fell to his death near Illilouette Falls.
It was reported by the Press Democrat that George competed at the Dave Pacheco Invitational at Sacramento City College just two days before his death.

Tragic loss for the Santa Rosa community.
Santa Rosa Junior College coach Fred Duerr released a heartfelt statement regarding George and the impact he made behind the scenes.
“If you knew Ryan, you know he was one of the most genuine, positive people you could ever meet. He had a way of lighting up a room, making you feel welcome, and bringing out the best in everyone around him,” Duerr said, via San Francisco Chronicle. “Ryan was always smiling, always encouraging, and always full of life.”
