Crews have been working on the old Red Lobster on Dana Drive for several months, redeveloping the building into a new restaurant.

The Record Searchlight recently spoke to one of the owners of the restaurant. Jian Hui Wang said he hopes to open in the next three months, which would mean sometime in December.
Hui Wang said the restaurant’s name will be Sushi Kingdom. And this is not the first restaurant for Hui Wang and his partners.
They also operate a restaurant in Carson City, Nevada, called King Buffet. He said the success of that restaurant brought them to Redding.
Sushi Kingdom will be an all-you-can-eat restaurant that will serve beer and wine, Hui Wang said. The restaurant also will have other varieties of Asian food besides sushi.
