The Atlanta Dream are headed to the WNBA Finals after sweeping the New York Liberty in the semifinals. Angel Reese led the way for the franchise, averaging 20.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.3 blocks in the series.

In Game 3 of the Dream’s showdown with the Liberty, Reese scored a team-high 22 points, along with nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks. Atlanta eventually secured an 85-83 victory to secure its ticket to the championship.
Following the series win, Reese took to Instagram to celebrate the accomplishment. It’s worth noting that the Dream last reached the WNBA Finals in 2013. The franchise had also been eliminated in the first round in each of the previous three seasons.
“ROUND 2: Sweep loaded with blessings, sent some rejections & we even packed up some lemon pepper selections,” Reese wrote in the caption of her post, along with several photos of herself and her teammates taken during the semifinals.
Naturally, the post drew plenty of reactions, including one from Indiana Fever guard Raven Johnson.

Johnson had a simple but endearing message to show her love and support for Reese.
“Booskiee,” Johnson wrote.
It’s the same message that Johnson often writes on Reese’s posts when she celebrates her accomplishments. To recall, during the WNBA break as the Dream star reflected on the work she had put in, Johnson also left the same comment.
While the Fever are already out of the playoffs and Johnson’s teammate Caitlin Clark is often portrayed as a rival to Reese, it’s clear that the youngster and the Dream forward remain friends off the court and continue to be supportive of each other.
