New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is feared to have suffered a season-ending torn ACL on the first day of training camp, NFL Network reported on Wednesday.

Bresee, 24, is undergoing medical tests to determine the severity of the injury, per the report.
New Orleans selected Bresee in the first round (29th overall) in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He has two years remaining on his rookie contract after the Saints exercised their fifth-year, $13.9 million option in the offseason.

Bresee started all 15 games that he played last season and totaled 37 tackles, 2.5 sacks, five tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits and one forced fumble.
For his career, Bresee has 86 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, 31 QB hits and two forced fumbles in 49 games (26 starts) since 2023.
